Sometime in March, I think, SRNS will be hosting an informal gathering of developers, startup entrepreneurs, marketers, and innocent bystanders in an effort to explore the talent pool, facilitate startup networking, and to explore the possibility of developing a hackerspace / incubator in the Fairbanks area.
Things we hope to accomplish by hosting this gathering:
- Meet new people interested in programming, design, hacking, or startups
- Introduce them to each other
- Create an opprtunity for founders to find potential talent or even cofounders
- Encourage growth in the Fairbanks startup ecosystem
- Explore the possibility of a Hackerspace in the Fairbanks area
- Provide a (physical) social medium for networking
